Learn to knit the Speedy Selbu Mittens by Skeindeer Knits in this three-part class! You’ll learn the techniques needed to knit these beautiful color-work mittens, including magic loop, two-color stranded color-work, reading color-work charts, and shaping the mitten with decreases and a thumb.

We’ll work through the construction step by step, with plenty of time to practice and ask questions along the way. We’ll also talk about choosing colors for your mittens and the history and function of Selbu color-work.

We’ll go over and purchase the materials you need at the beginning of the first class, so there’s no need to arrive early to shop for supplies. If you already have suitable needles at home, please bring them with you.

Skill level
Students should already know how to knit and purl and have experience working basic increases and decreases. No previous colorwork or magic loop experience is required.
